1 General Information
These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed with SweetHome ("we", "us", or "our"), a home-based bakery located in Kilkee, Co. Clare, Ireland. By placing an order via our website or WhatsApp, you agree to be bound by these terms.
2 Orders & Confirmation
- Our website serves as a catalogue. Clicking "Checkout" sends a request to our manager via WhatsApp.
- An order is not considered confirmed until you receive a direct confirmation message from us and, where applicable, a deposit is paid.
- We reserve the right to decline orders based on our baking capacity (slots are limited).
3 Payment
Prices are displayed in Euro (€). We accept:
- Cash on collection or delivery.
- Bank Transfer / Revolut (details provided upon order confirmation).
- For large orders (over €50), a 50% non-refundable deposit may be required to secure your date.
4 Cancellations & Refunds
Perishable Goods Exception
According to EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) does not apply to goods that deteriorate rapidly, such as fresh food and custom-made cakes.
- More than 48 hours notice: We can cancel your order and refund any deposit paid.
- Less than 48 hours notice: Cancellations are not accepted as ingredients and preparation have already begun. Full payment may be required.
- If you are unsatisfied with the quality of our product, please contact us within 24 hours of collection with photographic evidence.
5 Collection & Delivery
Collection: It is your responsibility to collect your order at the agreed time in Kilkee. If you are late, please notify us. We cannot guarantee product freshness if collected significantly later than agreed.
Delivery: Available upon request for an additional fee. We are not liable for any damage to the product once it has been delivered or handed over to you.
6 Food Safety & Allergens
Our products are made in a home kitchen that handles nuts, gluten (wheat), dairy, eggs, and soy. While we take every precaution to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that our products are 100% allergen-free.
Please inform us of any allergies before placing your order.
